A Letter From Our President & CEO Regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

Dear BDI Family,

The health and safety of our staff, participants and the entire BDI community is always our top priority. Out of an abundance of caution and heeding the guidance of the CDC regarding COVID-19 (coronavirus), we have made the decision to close all of our administrative locations as of Tuesday, March 24, 2020.

We’re committed to continuing our work to create a world where each person’s unique strengths are empowered and employed. Our mission-based programs and essential services are critical and are continuing. We’ve transitioned all of BDI Empowers programming to virtual platforms to ensure that we are still able to create spaces for our participants to grow, learn and thrive. The individuals and families we serve are now able to participate in everything from program service orientations to cooking classes from the comfort of their home.

Considering the current climate in our local communities, BDI needs you more than ever, as the populations we serve are among the most vulnerable in times of crises. We encourage you to join us in continuing our efforts to empower and employ individuals with disabilities. Below is a number of ways you can help.
