Understanding Your Psychological Evaluations
Season 1, Episode 6
Applying for government benefits requires documentation of disability, and frequently the best documentation is your psychological evaluation. But what do all these numbers mean? What makes some evaluations excellent, and others not so much? What do you need to ask for when you are requesting a new evaluation?
In this session, we will discuss the most effective battery of assessments used in psychological evaluations and what adjudicators are looking for when they are reviewing documentation.

The Power of Advocacy in the Disability Community
Join speakers from the Georgia Advocacy Office (GAO) and Bobby Dodd Institute (BDI) as we discuss the different roles both organizations play in supporting advocacy in the community on behalf of individuals with disabilities. Particular focus will be placed on GAO’s role with the Protection and Advocacy for Beneficiaries of Social Security (PABSS) program and BDI’s role with the Work Incentives Planning and Assistance (WIPA) program. During the session we will explore additional opportunities for advocacy in our community and brainstorm how participants of both organizations can be positive catalysts for change.
