Dana Smith
“I was pulled to clinical work because I find my passion in being a helper. In sessions, my goal is to walk with clients to address thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are causing distress or disruption or have them feeling like they’re just out of reach of feeling happiness or peace. I believe that we are all experts in our life journey, and I enjoy pairing up with clients to identify strengths, supports, and interests and link them with achieving concrete goals. Goals lead to change and change gets closer and closer to building a life worth living.
With me, clients can expect unconditional support, acceptance, honesty and validation. They can expect to feel challenged, empowered, and commended, while also being allowed to balance relishing moments of lightness with the need for moments of gravity. They can also rest assured that their cultural values, identity, and beliefs will be noted, celebrated, and incorporated into treatment in whichever way they see fit. I can’t wait to help whomever and however they need.“
