How to Tell Your Story

Your story matters.

People with disabilities may often feel alone or overlooked. Society can put up barriers that make it harder to reach their full potential, and that can be really tough.

But your story matters. By sharing your experiences, you’re helping others understand these challenges and giving hope to those who might be looking for guidance or resources. It’s not always easy to open up, but being real and vulnerable can make a huge difference for someone who needs to hear it.

What is a story?

Since day one on Earth, people have been telling stories – around campfires, during bedtime, you name it. Do you remember the warm feelings that flowed through your body while listening to the bedtime stories that your favorite grandmother was reading to you? Do you recall the sense of a deep connection with the characters, internally experiencing their emotions? If you answered “Yes,“ you are not alone.

It’s scientifically proven that our brains are uniquely wired to respond to stories. Stories bring us together, and we want to know yours.
