Family Support


We’re all in it together

We offer a complete community-based system of services to support parents and caregivers of children with disabilities. We connect local families with federal resources, as well as intensive hands-on support for families in crisis.

Family Support

Family Support Services are provided by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) to assist parents in their role as caregivers. We’re proud to be a community-based broker of these federal support opportunities.

Our Family Support specialists will help you navigate your eligibility and determine which programs are applicable to your family.

Intensive Family Support

For individuals on the DBHDD Planning List who do not fit the waiver services criteria for “most in need”, are being transitioned into waiver services or have been assessed to be in the “highest of need”, we offer Intensive Family Support.

​BDI provides Family Support through a state contract with the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD). In order to be eligible for services, individuals must be:

​Individuals must be diagnosed with an intellectual or developmental disability or closely related condition (e.g., traumatic brain injury).

Due to different regulations, we unfortunately cannot accept Veterans’ cases at this time.
